Castelluzzo and Macari

Castelluzzo and Macari both close to San Vito Lo Capo

Just before arriving in San Vito Lo Capo you cross the two small towns of Castelluzzo and Macari, two nice places to be discovered. Here life flows quiet, nestled in a lush and in an unspoiled nature, just a few kilometers from one of the most fascinating bays of western Sicily, that of Santa Margherita.

The village of Castelluzzo is into a large valley called "Valle degli ulivi" and it is set among the ancient Ponte Biro and the Natural Reserve of Monte Cofano. This area is famous for its fragrant oil that gives flavor to every dish and that has become the chosen location for the lovers of nature.

The village unfolds the sides of a long driveway in the middle of which there is a beautiful square. The surrounding countryside is full of almond and olive trees, a real show in spring.
In Castelluzzo there are many B&Bs, hotels, holiday houses, restaurants and little shops.
A little paradise for the lovers of nature.

Macari is the smallest village of San vito Lo Capo.
Here life flows slower, traffic does not exist, loud music does not reach it, the only sound you hear in the morning is the singing birds.
Macari is perched on a ridge and in front of it there is a spectacular view over the amazing gulf.
On the left there are the cliffs of Cala Mancina, ideal place for climing lovers, while on the rigth there is the beautiful Natural Reserve of Monte Cofano.
From the top you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in the world.
In a few minutes you reach the several beachs, some of them are real corners of paradise.
